The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lao closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Torres trying to control but Lao postures up.

Despite being in the dominant position, Kung Lao just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by West which made him look bad.

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fenny Klorian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Demented (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Klorian might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hong Kong - Mauro Picotto. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Paining walks straight into a right hand from Wood - that's dropped him! Wood jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Paining from any more punishment! Paining complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
