The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Channel drives through and clinches with Sharp against the cage.
Channel keeps control of Sharp as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Sharp tries to land a knee to the head but Channel blocks with his arms.
Channel wants to break free but Sharp has control.
Sharp looking to stall.
Sharp blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Sharp is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Channel can't fight it off and eventually Sharp manages to take the fight to the floor. Channel looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Sharp would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Sharp stops Channel from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sharp throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Sharp tries to free his leg and advance position but Channel is retaining full guard.
Channel wants to get back to his feet but Sharp is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Channel has his feet on Sharp's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Sharp doesn't manage to clinch there - Channel circles away.
Sharp shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Channel closes the distance but Sharp moves to the side

and Sharp counters with a nice double leg into side control. Channel won't be happy with that.
Channel tries to escape but Sharp is in control.

Channel parries the strikes from Sharp easily there. Sharp is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Channel to escape.
Channel is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Sharp asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Channel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sharp. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Channel looks gassed!
Sharp trying to control the action but Channel is working from the bottom.
Channel wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

and Sharp counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Channel's guard now.
Sharp might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Channel escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Channel drops Sharp with a beautiful combination! Sharp stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Channel is looking for the KO!

It looks like Eric Sharp has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Channel lands an uppercut, right on the button! Sharp tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
