Frye had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Germano is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Frye Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Germano's back instead.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Eric Germano.
Well Germano has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Kawazaki shoots in looking for a takedown. Alves tries to sprawl out of it but Kawazaki keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Alves manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Alves lands with a big left! Kawazaki is wobbled badly! Alves comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Kawazaki to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

Gracie changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Silva looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Silva looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Silva has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Gracie is really squeezing tight and eventually Silva passes out! Gracie breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between ala yeo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chung Gum Hing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). ala yeo had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Hing shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Hing landing strikes from the mount and yeo is in trouble!
yeo is desperately trying to improve his position but Hing has a good base and remains in mount.

Hing swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and yeo is now in Hing's guard. A big mistake from Hing there, giving up the dominant position!
Hing lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for yeo!
yeo is breathing heavily.
yeo is wriggling around trying to escape.

Hing has hold of yeo's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and yeo manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Hing goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now yeo is on top in guard.
Hing is trying to keep yeo in close.

Hing bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in yeo's guard.
Hing is pushing down on yeo's leg trying to pass to half guard. yeo is fighting to maintain full guard but Hing has managed to sneak the leg through.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
yeo is trying to maintain the position but Hing is very close to passing his half guard.

yeo is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Hing pulls his head out easily.
yeo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Lee tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Lee decides to stand up, so the ref orders Tan to his feet.
Tan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lee is fending him off so far but Tan persists. Nope, Lee circles away and we're back to standing.
Tan seems to have recovered his senses.
Lee scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
BOOM! Lee lands a beautiful left hook that drops Tan. Tan tries to recover but Lee is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Tan lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
