Dowd throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Dowd checks a leg kick.
Dowd connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Zero closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Zero lands in his opponent's guard.

Boy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Blanchard tries to avoid it but Boy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Blanchard to the ground. Blanchard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Washington drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Assis tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Washington wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Washington had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Assis is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Washington Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Assis's back instead.

Washington is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Assis knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Assis for a finish.
