The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Night tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Meister swivels and escapes.
Night shoots in and drives through. Meister sprawls well.
Night shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Meister as he avoids it easily.
Jag Meister has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joel Night.
Meister scores with a head kick.

It looks like Joel Night has been cut.
Night looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Meister is fending him off so far but Night persists. Nope, Meister circles away and we're back to standing.
Night shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Meister as he avoids it easily.

Meister drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Night isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Meister stacks Night on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Meister!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Meister is pushing Night's head away, looking to escape. Night manages to hold on to the position though.

Night is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Meister knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Meister is looking for a sweep.
Night throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Night tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Meister walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Night checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Night fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Meister, pushing him back against the cage.

Meister has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Night to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Meister is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Night pulls down on the head and he's put Meister to sleep! This one is all over!

Boyette tries to bum rush Mayfield with a series of wild strikes but Mayfield uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mayfield tries to clinch there but Boyette circles away.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Boyette crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Mayfield - the referee stops the clock and Boyette gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Mayfield. Boyette manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
