The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trask tries to land a front kick but Victor steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Alcano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc Guifre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Alcano might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Three Stars & A Sun. Jose Alcano had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Alcano!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marc Guifre!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Luis Engracia and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Alcano as Guifre shoots in.
Guifre shoots in but Alcano avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Alcano throws a series of punches but Guifre avoids them all with ease.
Alcano lands a nice looking kick to the body. Guifre takes a step back to recover.
Horrible takedown by Guifre or perhaps it was just good defense by Alcano which made him look bad.
Jose Alcano has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marc Guifre.
Alcano throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Guifre closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Guifre swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Alcano is now in Guifre's guard. A big mistake from Guifre there, giving up the dominant position!

Alcano stands and steps away. Guifre gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Alcano throws a series of punches but Guifre avoids them all with ease.

Guifre steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Alcano. That one must have hurt.

Guifre shoots in for a double leg but Alcano sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Alcano looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Alcano misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Guifre closes the distance and clinches up with Alcano, looking for a takedown. Guifre pushes Alcano against the cage but Alcano circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Alcano throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Guifre drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Guifre tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Guifre has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Guifre wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Alcano, who protects the arm well.

Guifre is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Alcano is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Alcano explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Alcano throws a shot from downtown. Guifre moves away and avoids it.
Alcano looks for the body kick but Guifre saw that one coming.
Alcano throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Guifre uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Alcano.
Marc Guifre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Guifre slips under a jab.
Guifre slips a jab from Alcano.
Alcano throws a right and a left that Guifre avoids nicely.
Alcano misses with a few strikes there.
Guifre looks for a takedown but Alcano sprawls well.

Guifre is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Alcano defends it well.

Guifre is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Alcano is just riding it out for now. Guifre eventually gives up the hold.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Guifre wants to pass the guard but Alcano is defending well.

Marc Guifre showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Alcano.
Alcano looks to land a right hand but Guifre moved out of range.
Alcano fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Guifre manages to avoid it.

Guifre fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Alcano sprawls well initially but Guifre persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Alcano is defending against the submission attempts here by Guifre.
Alcano won't allow Guifre to pass to mount.
Guifre takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Alcano is trying to stand up here but Guifre is controlling him well.

Guifre is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Guifre is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Alcano doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Guifre.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Guifre looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Guifre takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Guifre will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
