Undercard bout

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Derek Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sinhjo Babalu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patterson's entrance music is Hotel Service Room. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Patterson works over Babalu's head and body with a nice combination.
Babalu goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Babalu clinches up with Patterson and pushes him back against the cage.
Patterson has had enough of the clinch but Babalu keeps him there for the moment.
Babalu can't get the takedown.
Babalu connects with a nasty looking knee right to Patterson's face.
