The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodman throws a right hand that Ryan ducks under and follows up with a left that Ryan also avoids with ease.
Bill Rodman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ryan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Richardson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Porter fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Richardson, pushing him back against the cage.
Porter tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Richardson smiles and moves away.

Porter goes for a takedown in the clinch but Richardson prevents it.

Porter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A right-left combo lands from Richardson.

Oh Porter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Richardson is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Porter hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

Utah stands and steps away. Costa gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Utah tries to clinch but Costa moves out of range.
Utah bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Costa's head backwards.

Costa has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Utah is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Johnny Utah has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yuri Costa.

Utah has hold of one of Costa's legs. Costa is fighting the takedown attempt but Utah gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Hanma will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Hanma is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by James.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Hanma here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
James looks to land a combination but Hanma avoids it well.
James shoots in for a takedown but Hanma shows good takedown defense.
Hanma misses the shot to the body.
James shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hanma pinned against the cage. Hanma gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
