The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Sherk or perhaps it was just good defense by Cardy which made him look bad.
Sherk throws a sloppy head kick and Cardy moves out of range easily.
Sherk throws a nice inside leg kick.
Sherk uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cardy.
Cardy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sherk doesn't manage to clinch there - Cardy circles away.
Cardy moves away from the strike by Sherk.
Sherk moves in looking to clinch but Cardy pushes him off.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sherk.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
