The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hais shoots in and drives through. Mata sprawls well.
Hais throws a sloppy head kick and Mata moves out of range easily.
Mata throws a head kick that misses.
Hais is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Mata closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Hais tries to roll over but Mata keeps him under control.

Hais has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Mata. Oh but Hais has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Mata goes limp - he's gone! Hais jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Sproles comes to the cage accompanied by can't be touched -Roy Jones Jr. Hatton has chosen Blue Moon as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Rico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikos Osipzk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nikos Osipzk struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.5lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Nikos Osipzk told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Osipzk has hold of Rico's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rico manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Osipzk can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rico is looking to escape.
