The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barksdale drops Poulain with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Poulain looks back up at him and smiles so Barksdale waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like David Poulain has been cut.
Barksdale throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Barksdale swings for the body but Poulain moves out of range.
A head kick by Barksdale - that's a beauty! Poulain is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Barksdale can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aron Moraes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hunter Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunter Lewis struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 147.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
