The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cordoza tries to clinch up.
Cordoza fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Cordoza throws a head kick that misses.

Cordoza closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Plaza tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Plaza throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
Plaza tries to bench press Cordoza off him but Cordoza keeps the position.
You can see the frustration on Plaza's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Plaza manages to work his way to half guard, despite Cordoza's best efforts.

Plaza had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Cordoza is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Plaza Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Cordoza's back instead.

Plaza looking to break Cordoza's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Cordoza remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Plaza will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Cordoza drops back, looking for a kneebar! Plaza looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Plaza looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Plaza!

Plaza has an Americana. Cordoza didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Plaza is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Plaza hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

I think McFly might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to I Disappear by Metalica. Cling has chosen Indistructable as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

McFly takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

It looks like Tron McFly has been cut.
Cling finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Cling looks to land a combination but McFly avoids it well.
Cling throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McFly.

Cling is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but McFly has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

and McFly counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Cling is lucky that one didn't land flush.

McFly cracks Cling on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Cling falls backwards against the cage. McFly follows up with more strikes that drop Cling to his knees. McFly keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Cling! This one is all over!
