Undercard bout

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rampage Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Paul Walker was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua closes this distance looking for a takedown but Walker circles away.
Rua wants to clinch up but Walker keeps it at a distance.

Walker checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Rua turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Rua manages to end up in side control.

Rua has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Walker tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Rua has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Walker is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Walker works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Walker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Rua is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Walker's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Rua has control of Walker's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Walker regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Rampage Rua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Well Walker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

He tries to recover but Brown pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Wolfe is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
