The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gigu doesn't manage to clinch there - Chernekov circles away.
Gigu chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Chernekov can pounce on him.

Chernekov fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Gigu is out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Torgio Kazikuni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kazikuni fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kazikuni is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Kazikuni jabs Smith right on the nose. Smith blinks but takes it well.

The crowd cheers as Kazikuni lands an impressive looking overhand right. Smith doesn't seem phased though.

Donk. Kazikuni catches Smith right on the button with a cross.

Smith feints and as Kazikuni raises his hands in defense, Smith changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Kazikuni working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Smith doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Smith manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Kazikuni wants to sweep but no luck.
Smith lands a couple of elbows.

Smith is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Kazikuni looking for a triangle here. Smith is fighting it but it looks tight! Kazikuni pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Smith is tapping out - this one is all over!

Clown shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! machida is backing up but Clown catches him with a final right hook that drops him! machida covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Clown Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Kisotsu fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kisotsu slips a jab and a cross from Zlatko.
Kisotsu really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kisotsu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Zlatko tries to avoid it but Kisotsu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Zlatko to the ground. Zlatko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kisotsu throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zlatko's waist but Zlatko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kisotsu off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenta Kisotsu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zlatko tries to close the distance and clinch but Kisotsu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kisotsu closes the distance and clinches up with Zlatko, looking for a takedown. Kisotsu pushes Zlatko against the ropes but Zlatko circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Zlatko misses with a series of wild punches.
Zlatko stuffs the takedown attempt from Kisotsu. Kisotsu gets slowly back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kisotsu looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Zlatko misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Zlatko keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Zlatko wants to clinch up but Kisotsu keeps it at a distance.

Kisotsu shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Zlatko can't escape the position.
Kisotsu fails to move to back control.
Kisotsu will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kisotsu tries to control but Zlatko wriggling away.
Kisotsu looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Zlatko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kisotsu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Zlatko wants to control but Kisotsu is having none of it.

Kisotsu goes for an armbar but Zlatko turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Zlatko.
Zlatko wants to stand but Kisotsu has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Kisotsu escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Zlatko gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Kisotsu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kisotsu is breathing heavily.
Zlatko wants to stand but Kisotsu is controlling his posture from full guard.
Kisotsu wants to sweep but no luck.
Zlatko would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Kisotsu is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Zlatko working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kisotsu's head.
Zlatko stands up out of Kisotsu's guard for a moment - Kisotsu manages to land a nice upkick.

Kisotsu is fighting to break Zlatko's control of his arms but Zlatko is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Kisotsu throws a big right hand that misses.
Kisotsu is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Kisotsu passes Zlatko's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Zlatko looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kisotsu drops an elbow to the side of Zlatko's head.

Kisotsu looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Zlatko is not content to let Kisotsu control the position.
Kisotsu wants to pass to mount but Zlatko is defending the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
