The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Nicitel stuffs the takedown.
Allan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Nicitel rushes Allan and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Allan is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes.
Allan is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Nicitel gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Allan can't break the clinch.

Nicitel turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Allan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nicitel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Nicitel cracks Allan with a big elbow.
Nicitel lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Allan down.

Nicitel is working to tighten is grip on Allan's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Allan has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Nicitel is really squeezing tight and eventually Allan passes out! Nicitel breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Simon swats away the attempt to clinch by Muamba.
Muamba avoids the head kick by Simon.

Aganja Muamba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Muamba shoots in looking for a takedown. Simon tries to sprawl out of it but Muamba keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Simon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Muamba changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Simon tries to avoid it but Muamba manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Simon to the ground. Simon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Muamba drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Simon manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Muamba has Simon in his guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Simon has Muamba pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Muamba manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Swinger has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Reznik can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Reznik must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That was a close round but I would say that Trent Swinger will probably get the nod.

Swinger has control of Reznik's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Reznik regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
