Undercard bout

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between willie maykit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Olof (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Olof is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I am a poor lonesome cowboy. John Olof told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olof uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

maykit tries to keep at a distance but Olof has taken the fight into the clinch.

Olof pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Olof misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
maykit clobbers Olof with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Olof gets the takedown into side control.
maykit tries to buck Olof off but Olof is having none of it.
maykit is trying to control Olof's posture but Olof avoids it.
Olof trying to control the position but maykit is working away.
Olof working the ground and pound but maykit is defending the strikes.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

You get the feeling that Olof really doesn't like being in this position too much.

maykit looking to control but Olof is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
maykit trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Olof is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Olof sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Olof is trying to stand up here but maykit is controlling him well.

Olof is looking for a sweep. maykit is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
maykit is trying to control the action in half guard but Olof is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
maykit is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Olof is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
maykit prevents Olof from improving his position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Olof gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Olof throws a combination but it was largely blocked by maykit.
Olof will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

No joy there for Olof, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Undercard bout

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Boe Bam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chase Status (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bam kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Jacare. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Status dodges the punch combination from Bam.
Bam cracks Status with a right hand to the side of the head.

It looks like Chase Status has been cut.
Status has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Status there as he acknowledges the shot.

Bam bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Status! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

Status is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bam decides to stand back up. Bam steps back and let's Status get back to his feet.
Status seems to have recovered his senses.
