The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
joe lands a really nice looking cross but De Vries seems unphased.
joe pulls out of a head kick attempt.
joe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but De Vries moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
joe could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
joe throws a sloppy head kick and De Vries moves out of range easily.
joe throws a right hand that De Vries ducks under and follows up with a left that De Vries also avoids with ease.

De Vries feints and as joe raises his hands in defense, De Vries changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
De Vries tries to free his leg and advance position but joe is retaining full guard.
joe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for De Vries on the ground.
De Vries is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
joe is trying to control the position but De Vries postures up.

De Vries tries to pass the half guard into mount. joe knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Kunnas throws an overhand right that has Smalls reeling! Kunnas follows up with more punches and Smalls is out cold! This one is all over!
