Shavnetski comes to the ring accompanied by DMX - get it on the floor. Rusesabagina has chosen Agatha by Francis Bebey as his entrance music. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shavnetski throws a head kick that misses.
Shavnetski misses with a takedown attempt - Rusesabagina sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Shavnetski shoots for a double leg takedown but Rusesabagina sprawls well. He's pushed Shavnetski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Rusesabagina circles away from the clinch attempt.
Shavnetski looks to score with a jab to the body but Rusesabagina is just out of range.
No joy there for Shavnetski, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rusesabagina shoots in looking for a takedown. Shavnetski tries to sprawl out of it but Rusesabagina keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Shavnetski manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Rusesabagina changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shavnetski looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Rusesabagina postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Rusesabagina is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Shavnetski is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
