The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Ing. No joy for Rivers on that attempt.

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between William Slider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Edgar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). William Slider had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tauno Palo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jayceon Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taylor comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Westside Story kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Jayceon Taylor struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.6lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Tauno Palo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Taylor avoids a punch combination nicely.
Palo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Taylor moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Taylor wants to clinch up but Palo keeps it at a distance.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Palo! Taylor is backing up but he can't get away as Palo lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Taylor and ends the fight. Great knockout.

Strummer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
