The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie ducks under a wild hook from Nefarious.
Sakuraba Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nefarious lands a nice hook to Gracie's body. Gracie takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Nefarious fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gracie looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Gracie gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Nefarious misses with a body shot.
Nefarious looks to score with a jab to the body but Gracie is just out of range.
Nefarious tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gracie paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

It looks like Sakuraba Gracie has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nefarious slows the pace down.
Gracie tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Nefarious decides to stand back up. Nefarious steps back and let's Gracie get back to his feet.
Nefarious lands a body shot.
Gracie thows a left - swing and a miss!
Nefarious avoids the body shot from Gracie.
Nefarious jabs Gracie right on the nose. Gracie blinks but takes it well.
Reginald Nefarious is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gracie misses with a hook to the body

and Nefarious counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Nefarious.
Nefarious lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Gracie is breathing heavily.

Nefarious manages to break the clinch.
Gracie chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Nefarious can pounce on him.
Nefarious lands a really nice looking cross but Gracie seems unphased.
Gracie takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nefarious wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Nefarious connects with a superb combination that knocks Gracie out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Nefarious before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Gracie!
