Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kirk North (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sunny Lafeye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kirk North had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.8lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Kirk North has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lafeye has North up against the ropes in a clinch.
Lafeye keeps control of North as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Lafeye can't get the takedown.
North lands a nice knee to the body.
North landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

North breaks from the clinch.
North fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Lafeye bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Lafeye tries to score with some ground and pound. North controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Lafeye swings around for an armbar but North sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Lafeye's guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kix Rus.
I think Egyptian has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Frito fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Almeida sprawls well initially but Frito persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
