Higashi is looking to clinch.

Higashi closes the distance and pushes hella back into the cage.

hella jumps guard and drags Higashi to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

hella is looking to sinch up a triangle. Higashi throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to hella 's body to avoid the submission. hella has instead reached around Higashi's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! hella arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Joe Joe jr bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Dragon dodges the ground and pound from Joe Joe jr.
Joe Joe jr postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Dragon is pushing Joe Joe jr's head away, looking to escape. Joe Joe jr manages to hold on to the position though.

Gordon feints and as endo raises his hands in defense, Gordon changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Gordon stands and steps away. endo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
endo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Gordon lands a slapping body shot.
A combination from Gordon does no damage.
Gordon tries for a takedown but endo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
endo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
A nice leg kick lands there from Gordon.

Po shoots in for a takedown but Yagyu shows good takedown defense.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Po.
Yagyu throws a sloppy head kick and Po moves out of range easily.
Po shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Yagyu as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tong Po. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Po fails to land the takedown.
Yagyu will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Yagyu changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Po looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A lull in the action here as Yagyu stalls from top position.
Yagyu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Po keeps working.

Po is looking for a sweep. Yagyu is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Po knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yagyu on the ground.

Po shoots in but Yagyu avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Jubei Yagyu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well Yagyu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
