Melbrooks keeps Peter at a distance using the push kick.
Peter takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Melbrooks misses with a double jab.
Melbrooks connects with a high kick.
Peter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Melbrooks is fending him off so far but Peter persists. Nope, Melbrooks circles away and we're back to standing.
Melbrooks tries to bum rush Peter with a series of wild strikes but Peter uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Peter misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Peter feints and as Melbrooks raises his hands in defense, Peter changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Peter stands up and waves to Melbrooks to follow him.
Peter takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Melbrooks will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
John Melbrooks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Melbrooks throws a lazy head kick
and Peter counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Melbrooks is pressing down on Peter's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

and Melbrooks counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Melbrooks lands with a kick to the temple. Peter shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Peter throws a leg kick that is checked
and Melbrooks counters with a left and a right that stings Peter.
Peter is rocked!
Peter drops his hands momentarily and Melbrooks needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Peter just on the top of the head. Peter drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Peter - he's done!

Brown steps into range and cracks Starks with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Starks flops backwards and Brown dives into his guard looking to finish!
