I think Perry might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to goldberg theme. Slater comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slater circles away from the clinch attempt.
Slater swats away the attempt to clinch by Perry.
Perry doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Perry avoids the body shot from Slater.
Slater misses with a wild combination.
Slater missing with a left hand there. Perry was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Slater lands with an overhand left.
Slater drops Perry with a nice combination! Slater dives into Perry's guard, looking to finish!

It looks like William Perry has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Slater thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Perry looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Perry is looking for a triangle but Slater pushes his legs off easily.

Biggs looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Barbarino!
Barbarino could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Barbarino wants to hold on but Biggs pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Biggs working for a submission but Barbarino is keeping him at bay.
Barbarino tries to reverse the position but Biggs maintains control.

Biggs has hold of Barbarino's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Barbarino manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Barbarino flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

Biggs is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Biggs extends the arm and Barbarino is forced to tap!

Fuller is trying to drag Yerface to the mat but Yerface just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Larry Fuller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanner gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ruska.
Tanner swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ruska throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tanner keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Tanner will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Tanner counters with a left to the body.

Tanner looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ruska with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Ruska is trying desperately to land a takedown but Tanner is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Ruska.

Ruska throws a right hand that Tanner ducks under and follows up with a left that Tanner also avoids with ease.

Ruska gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Tanner makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Tanner lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Tanner cracks Ruska with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
