Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Slater Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Killam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas comes to the cage accompanied by "Fight Music" by D12. Slater Thomas had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.7lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Shire swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Zulud is now in Shire's guard. A big mistake from Shire there, giving up the dominant position!

Zulud is looking to escape.

Shire is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Zulud has managed to free his arm - good work.
Zulud is not content to let Shire control the position.
Zulud trying to hold on to Shire's head to control him but Shire postures up.
Zulud wants to get back to full guard.
Zulud holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Shire stalling away here and it's allowed Zulud to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Zulud manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Shire manages to get himself to full guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Shire, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
