The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Welker thows a body shot but no joy.
Welker is looking to clinch.

Welker is looking to take a break and control but Gobbels is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Welker had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Gobbels is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Welker Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Gobbels's back instead.
Welker is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Gobbels up.

Gobbels is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Welker gets his way!

Welker is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Welker!

El Toro misses with a looping left.
Silva lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
El Toro throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.
El Toro checks a leg kick nicely.
El Toro misses with a straight right.
Silva lands a right hook to the body.
El Toro tries to close the distance and clinch but Silva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Silva lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Silva works over El Toro's head and body with a nice combination.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
