I think Styles might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to I Am by Dale Oliver. AJ Styles has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws a head kick that half lands.
Styles jabs at Smith's body.
Smith throws a half hearted mid kick.
Smith wants to clinch.
Smith goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

It looks like AJ Styles has been cut.
Smith has a takedown stuffed.
Smith looks for a takedown but Styles sprawls well.
Styles cracks Smith with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Styles misses the jab.
Smith takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Styles lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Smith backs up against the cage.

It looks like John Smith has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Styles drops Smith with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Smith! Styles dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by hernandez or perhaps it was just good defense by Prescott which made him look bad.
hernandez dodges the punch combination from Prescott.
Prescott moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Prescott shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

hernandez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Prescott gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

hernandez had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Prescott is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. hernandez Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Prescott's back instead.
hernandez is breathing heavily.

Prescott is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Prescott tries to break free.

Prescott is trying to get back to his feet but hernandez has full control of the position and if anything, Prescott has just worked his way into a worse spot.
hernandez gets his hands free as Prescott looks to control.

hernandez has his arm under Prescott's chin here. Game over son! hernandez squeezes tightly and Prescott is forced to tap out!

Liddell is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Headstrong. Liddell has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. skee zerr has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

zerr avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Liddell looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
A telegraphed right hand from zerr misses the target.
No luck for zerr with that takedown attempt.
zerr shoots in for a takedown but Liddell shows good takedown defense.
Liddell uses good head movement to avoid the hook from zerr.
zerr throws a nice looking combination but Liddell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Liddell avoids the body shot from zerr.
zerr shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for skee zerr. That's going to take a lot out of him.
zerr throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Liddell misses with a double jab.
Liddell ducks under a wild hook from zerr.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
zerr throws an overhand right that lands on Liddell's shoulder, as Liddell tries to avoid the shot.
zerr lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Liddell circles away quickly and effectively.
zerr tries to close the distance and clinch up but Liddell swats him away and circles back towards the center.
zerr moves in looking to clinch but Liddell pushes him off.
zerr fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Liddell.

That's one minute gone in the round.
zerr lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Liddell uses good head movement to avoid the hook from zerr.
zerr looks to clinch

and Liddell counters with a takedown into side control.
zerr manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

zerr has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Liddell. Oh but zerr has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Liddell goes limp - he's gone! zerr jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
