Mehoff kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Choke Sermon by Lamb of God. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bauwens on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Bauwens closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mehoff circles away.
Mehoff throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mehoff ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Mehoff closes the distance and clinches.
Bauwens tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mehoff just stands there and leans against the cage.
Bauwens prevents Mehoff from breaking the clinch.
A right handed body shot lands from Mehoff.
Mehoff tries to land knees in the clinch but Bauwens avoids the damage to the body.

Mehoff turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Mehoff manages to end up in side control.
Bauwens tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Mehoff wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bauwens keeps working.
Bauwens is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Mehoff off and has taken his back!
Mehoff is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Aittosumu has Komokallio pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Aittosumu pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Komokallio tumbling to the mat - Aittosumu dives into Komokallio's guard.

Aittosumu is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Komokallio looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Aittosumu has picked Komokallio up and slammed him! Komokallio can't keep hold of the triangle and Aittosumu manages to pass to side control!

and Beamer makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Beamer lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Beltran has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Beltran and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
