Carvalho will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Carvalho lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Halpert backs up against the cage.
Halpert dives in and grabs Carvalho's left leg, looking for a takedown. Carvalho pushes down on Halpert's head and hops out.
Carvalho feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Halpert's calf.
Halpert takes a jab right on the kisser.
Carvalho lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Carvalho dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Carvalho lands with a shot to the body.
Halpert takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Halpert drops his hands momentarily and Carvalho takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Carvalho connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Halpert momentarily.
Halpert gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Corpuz uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Paninii.
Corpuz misses with a straight left.
Paninii bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Corpuz's head backwards.
Paninii fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Corpuz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Corpuz misses with an uppercut.
Corpuz takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Paninii lands a left and a right that sends Corpuz crashing to the canvas! Paninii dives into mount looking to finish!

Horrible takedown by Corpuz or perhaps it was just good defense by Paninii which made him look bad.
Paninii rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Corpuz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Paninii lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Paninii throws a push kick but Corpuz slaps the foot to one side.
Corpuz misses with a body shot.
Corpuz swings for the body but Paninii moves out of range.
Corpuz misses with a head kick.

Corpuz throws a sloppy head kick and Paninii moves out of range easily.
Paninii lands a body shot.
Corpuz takes one to the chin there.
Paninii stalks Corpuz and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Corpuz's face. Corpuz staggers backwards, shaken.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Paninii swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Paninii lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Corpuz circles away quickly and effectively.
Corpuz shoots in and drives through. Paninii sprawls well.
Paninii connects with a good right hand that stumbles Corpuz. Corpuz circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Paninii throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Corpuz's waist but Corpuz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Paninii off to one side.
BJ Paninii seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Paninii scores with a nice strike.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Corpuz shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
BJ Paninii has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jasper Corpuz.

Paninii circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Corpuz to the canvas! Corpuz doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Paninii keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
