The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rypien has managed to clinch.

Rypien breaks the clinch.
Farrah darts in trying to clinch
and Rypien counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Ajib Farrah has been cut.
Rypien looks to score with a jab to the body but Farrah is just out of range.
Farrah fails with a takedown attempt.
Farrah throws a push kick but Rypien slaps the foot to one side.
A jab from Rypien finds it's way through Farrah's defenses.
Farrah misses with a body shot.
Rypien throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Farrah throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rypien.
Farrah tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rypien swivels and escapes.
Rypien slips a jab and a cross from Farrah.
A combination from Farrah does no damage.
Rypien tries to close the distance and clinch up but Farrah swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Rypien changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rypien lands a big uppercut and Farrah crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Farrah looks OK. Rypien waves Farrah back to his feet!

Farrah is still on wobbly legs! Can Rypien finish him?
Rypien will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Farrah throws a right hand that Rypien ducks under and follows up with a left that Rypien also avoids with ease.
Farrah seems to have recovered his senses.

Rypien has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Farrah.
Rypien lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Farrah falls backwards - clearly groggy! Rypien dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Belfort drops Maia with a big left hand and mounts him. Maia is in big trouble!

It looks like Forrest Maia has been cut.
Maia tries to hold on but Belfort postures up.
Maia keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Maia wants to control but Belfort is having none of it.
Maia is wriggling around trying to escape.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Blaver is nestled in close to Hyabusa, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Hyabusa takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Blaver tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Blaver tries to move into full mount but can't pass Hyabusa's legs.

Blaver is working to tighten is grip on Hyabusa's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Hyabusa has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Blaver is really squeezing tight and eventually Hyabusa passes out! Blaver breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
