Undercard bout

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Chatum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mack Attack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chatum comes to the cage accompanied by The God That Failed. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Attack drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Attack stands up over Chatum, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Attack thows a big elbow that misses.
Chatum will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Chatum keeping moving, preventing Attack from controlling successfully.
Attack postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Chatum knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Attack on the ground.
Attack throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Chatum works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Attack loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Attack feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Attack has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Attack is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Chatum.
Attack fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chatum avoids it really well and circles away.
Chatum fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Chatum throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Chatum's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Chatum duly obliges.

Attack is rocked!
Chatum feints a jab and as Attack dips his head, Chatum unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Attack right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Attack falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Chatum smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
