The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Chora is defended easily by gomez.

and Chora counters with a shoot takedown. gomez fights it but they end up in guard.

Chora drops back looking for a leg! gomez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and gomez manages to kick Chora off! Chora jumps back into gomez's guard.

gomez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Chora manages to get himself to full guard.

gomez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Chora has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, gomez has managed to get both his arms back between Chora's legs - danger averted.

Chora will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Nielsen complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
