The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bell darts in and clinches la up against the cage.
la has had enough of the clinch but Bell keeps him there for the moment.
Bell fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
la blocks a punch to the side of the head.
la's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
la can't break the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on la's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Bell throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Vaughn shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Romo pinned against the cage. Romo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Romo connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Romo jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Vaughn tries a head kick but it misses.
Vaughn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Rolls Romo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Victor Vaughn.

Horrible takedown by Simpson or perhaps it was just good defense by Marshall which made him look bad.

Marshall rushes Simpson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Marshall escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Marshall clinches up with Simpson and pushes him back against the cage.

Marshall's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Marshall moves into range and clinches up with Simpson.

Marshall breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Marshall throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Chidell bounces back off the cage towards Malenski, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Malenski lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Malenski celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
