The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayweather keeps the fight on the outside.
Ramos tries to close the distance and clinch but Mayweather swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ramos tries to clinch up.
Mayweather throws a right hand that Ramos ducks under and follows up with a left that Ramos also avoids with ease.
Ramos showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mayweather.
Ramos falls off balance throwing a combination
and Mayweather connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Ramos clinches with his opponent.
Mayweather has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ramos is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
A nice right hand lands inside from Ramos.
Ramos lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Mayweather or not.
Ramos throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Mayweather is breathing heavily.
Mayweather jumps guard but Ramos stands there with Mayweather around his waist. Mayweather gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Ramos breaks from the clinch.
Ramos avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ramos is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ramos throws a body punch but Mayweather moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mayweather circles away from the clinch attempt
and Mayweather makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Mayweather will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mayweather tries to land a front kick but Ramos steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Ramos clinches up with Mayweather and pushes him back against the cage.

Mayweather tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Ramos breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ramos looks to score with a jab to the body but Mayweather is just out of range.

Ramos clinches.
Ramos on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Ramos lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Mayweather or not.
Mayweather has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Mayweather trying to control the position but instead, Ramos has worked for underhooks and has pushed Mayweather into the cage.

Ramos's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ramos throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Mayweather stumbling backwards into the cage! Mayweather bounces back off the cage towards Ramos, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Ramos lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Ramos celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.

O Leary misses with a double jab.
O Leary looks to score with a jab to the body but Rogano is just out of range.

Rogano moves into the clinch successfully.
O Leary is trying to force a seperation but Rogano has the dominant position.
The referee is keeping an eye on O Leary - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Nice body punch from O Leary.

O Leary's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rogano takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Rogano uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by O Leary.
O Leary waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Rogano.
Rogano doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Rogano needs to keep his hands up - O Leary had a free shot at his head there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
O Leary tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rogano swats him away and circles back towards the center.
O Leary swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rogano wants to clinch
and O Leary counters with a series of strikes. Rogano will be more careful next time no doubt.

Rogano looks gassed!
Rogano drops down looking for an ankle pick but O Leary pulls his leg out and moves away.
Rogano walks straight into a right hand from O Leary - that's dropped him! O Leary jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Rogano from any more punishment! Rogano complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). William O Leary!
William O Leary is the new middleweight champion!
