Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Douglas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Douglas has chosen Rubber Chicken by Caspa as his entrance music. Brandon Carwin had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.7lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Kolzig slips under a jab.
Kolzig shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Meeks as he avoids it easily.

Meeks tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kolzig is able to avoid easily.
Meeks rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kolzig moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Some bone on bone action there as Kolzig checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Meeks stuffs the takedown attempt from Kolzig. Kolzig gets slowly back to his feet.
