Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andre Wells!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thomas Power!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Power lands a big head kick that sends Wells tumbling to the mat! Power takes a step backwards and waves Wells back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Wells is rocked!

It looks like Andre Wells has been cut.

Power has closed the distance and engaged Wells in a clinch.
Oh Wells is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wells jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Power walks away with a smile on his face. Wells gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Wells seems to have got his legs back now.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Wells.

Power breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Power is trying to trip Wells. He has hold of a leg but Wells is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Power persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Power would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Power got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wells has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Power has managed to get both his arms back between Wells's legs - danger averted.

Wells has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Power can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Power thows a huge punch but Wells dodges it nicely.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Wells fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Power! Wells is out on his feet! Power rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Wells is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Wells is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurosawa stuffs the takedown attempt from Bjj. Bjj gets slowly back to his feet.
Bjj checks the leg kick nicely there.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kurosawa lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bjj has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bjj and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
