The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Break throws a series of punches but Schmidli moves out of range.
Break leaves Schmidli with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Break moves into range and connects with a jab.
Break just misses with a punch to the body.
Schmidli tries to clinch but Break moves out of range.
Break throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

It looks like Marcus Schmidli has been cut.
Horrible takedown by Schmidli or perhaps it was just good defense by Break which made him look bad.
Break with a lazy takedown attempt

and Schmidli counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Break's guard now.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Schmidli drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Break manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Schmidli has Break in his guard.

Schmidli is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Break frees his head nicely. Oh but Schmidli has switched to an armbar! Break is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
