The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pikey lands with a shot to the body.

Pappa closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pikey to the mat! Pikey manages to get full guard.
Pappa is standing up over Pikey. Pikey looks to escape but Pappa dives into side control.
Pikey tries to bench press Pappa off him but Pappa keeps the position.
Pikey sneaks back into half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pappa connects with a nice short shot to Pikey's temple.

Pappa postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Pikey to stand up.
Pikey cracks a nice hook into Pappa's ribs.
Pappa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pikey pinned against the cage. Pikey gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Pikey had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Pappa is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Pikey Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Pappa's back instead.

Pappa might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Pikey kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice jab there from Oyster.
Carbone lands a two punch combo.
A left and a right from Carbone both land. Nice combination.
Carbone throws a one two combo.
Carbone lands a jab.
Oyster lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Carbone circles away quickly and effectively.
A chopping leg kick lands by Oyster.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Carbone drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Oyster manages to escape and get back to his feet.
A chopping leg kick lands by Oyster.
An inside leg kick lands from Oyster.
Carbone looks gassed!
Carbone fails to land the takedown.
Oyster scores with a jab. Carbone acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Carbone steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Oyster.
Oyster cracks the inside of Carbone's front leg.
Carbone closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Oyster fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Carbone.
Oyster lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Carbone crumples to the floor! Oyster milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!

Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Beast Beast as he avoids it easily.

Jones tries for a takedown but Beast Beast sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Beast Beast tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Beast Beast throws a right and a left that Jones avoids nicely.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jones misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
