I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Richard Blackmore was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Palhares kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is .... Billy The Iron Hand will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Kahric has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. black avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Kahric breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - black looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

black changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kahric looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
black is looking to take a break and control but Kahric is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

black closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
black tries to score a body lock takedown but Kahric shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
black tries to land knees in the clinch but Kahric avoids the damage to the body.
Kahric tries to pull guard but black won't allow it.
black jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kahric walks away with a smile on his face. black gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
black lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
black swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kahric.
Kahric tries to clinch up.

black shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than black was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

black get's back to his feet.

black takes the fight into the clinch.
Kahric has had enough of the clinch but black keeps him there for the moment.
black tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
black effectively controlling the action here.
With the fighters up against the cage, black throws an elbow but misses.

black lands on the inside with an uppercut.

black successfully pulls guard.
Kahric wants to pass the guard but black is keeping the position.

black has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Kahric doesn't defend quickly enough and black has managed to lock this one up! Can Kahric escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to black on a fantastic submission victory.
