The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Law shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Uni is trying to defend but Law finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Couza gets caught flat footed, as Jenkins shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Couza is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jenkins is aware though and is defending well.

Mikel is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Goldman is surviving well by controlling Mikel's body position as best he can.
Goldman is looking to improve his position but Mikel isn't that keen on the idea.
Mikel connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Goldman is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Mikel sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Goldman is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mikel jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Goldman is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Goldman and Mikel has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
