Johnson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Johnson closes this distance looking for a takedown but van der Vaart circles away.
George Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

van der Vaart stuffs the takedown attempt from Johnson. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet.
Horrible takedown by Johnson or perhaps it was just good defense by van der Vaart which made him look bad.
Soloman van der Vaart has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Johnson.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts van der Vaart, as that shot connected.

Johnson shoots for a double leg takedown but van der Vaart sprawls well. He's pushed Johnson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
van der Vaart moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
van der Vaart cracks Johnson with a hook to the temple - Johnson is on wobbly legs here! van der Vaart swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Johnson falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! van der Vaart wins by TKO!
