These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ritter throws a shot to the body.
Franz Ritter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ritter moves away from the strike by Hawks.
Ritter tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hawks was well out of range. Poor timing from Ritter.
Hawks has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ritter finds it's way round the side to connect with Hawks's head.
Ritter fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Ritter avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Ritter swings for the body but Hawks moves out of range.
Hawks takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Ritter cracks Hawks with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Hawks falls to his knees and Ritter doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
