Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McDonald drops filipovic with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but filipovic looks back up at him and smiles so McDonald waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
filipovic throws a right and a left that both miss.
McDonald connects with a stiff jab that staggers filipovic - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by KONG or perhaps it was just good defense by Scott which made him look bad.
KONG shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Scott as he jumps to the side.
Scott scores with a nice head shot.
Scott connects with a nice looking jab.
Scott misses with a double jab.
Scott lands with a shot to the body.
Scott will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Scott misses with a series of wild punches.
KONG moves in looking to clinch but Scott pushes him off.
Scott rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but KONG moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Scott lands with an overhand left.
Scott lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as KONG backs up against the cage.
Scott moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
KONG looks for a takedown but Scott sprawls well.
Jobo Scott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of KING KONG.
Scott throws a combination. KONG tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Scott lands a nice hook to KONG's body. KONG takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
No luck for KONG with that takedown attempt.
Scott scores with a shot to the body.
KONG fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

KONG throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Scott's waist but Scott gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing KONG off to one side.
KONG has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Scott lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but KONG circles away quickly and effectively.
Scott is working the combinations to good effect here.

Scott stalks KONG and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into KONG's face. KONG staggers backwards, shaken.

Jobo Scott is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
KONG wants to clinch.
Scott lands a slapping body shot.
Scott lands with a nice combination. KONG backs away looking to recover.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - KONG has eaten all the pies!
KONG is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Scott.

Scott drops KONG with a beautiful combination! KONG stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Scott is looking for the KO!

KONG is rocked!
Scott dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
KONG is still on wobbly legs! Can Scott finish him?
Scott scores with a one two! KONG had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
KONG takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
KONG seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Scott shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! KONG is backing up but Scott catches him with a final right hook that drops him! KONG covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Scott Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
