The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prokhorov tries to close the distance and clinch up but CACATb swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maciek Literacki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vlad The Impaler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maciek Literacki had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.7lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Literacki tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - The Impaler cranks the arm and Literacki screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Literacki, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Polo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Polo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Alkofer looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Alkofer looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Alkofer!
