We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Henry fakes high and swings low for a body shot but nam manages to avoid it.

You can see the frustration on Riddick's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

GameMaster wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Riddick, who protects the arm well.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter misses with a wild combination.
Budha fails with a takedown attempt.
Calvin Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice sprawl there from Carter as Budha shoots in.
Carter scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Budha throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Carter was covering up waiting for the punch and Budha finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Budha working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Carter wriggles free and stands up.
Carter throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Budha dives in and grabs Carter's left leg, looking for a takedown. Carter pushes down on Budha's head and hops out.
Calvin Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zen Budha.
A telegraphed right hand from Carter misses the target.
The fighters circle momentarily. Carter darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Carter connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Budha momentarily.
Carter takes a swing at Budha's ribcage but misses.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Budha.
Budha misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Carter looks to score with a jab to the body but Budha is just out of range.

Budha tries to close the distance and clinch up but Carter swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Budha closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Budha tries for a takedown but Carter manages to get underhooks.
Budha jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Carter walks away with a smile on his face. Budha gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Budha wants to clinch up but Carter keeps it at a distance.
Carter lands a nice shot to the body.
Budha looks gassed!
A nice combination there by Carter.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Budha takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Budha fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Carter connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Budha tumbling to the canvas! Carter pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Budha was done - good stoppage!

Salita cracks Ubba with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Salita prevents Ubba from getting the reversal.
Ubba really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Salita. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Salita jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Ubba manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Ubba is looking to reverse the position.
Salita cracks Ubba with a big elbow.
Salita working the body and head with strikes.
Salita working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Salita has hold of Ubba's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Ubba seems comfortable defending it but Salita has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Ubba is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Ubba is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Salita couldn't care less - he's delighted!
