Undercard bout

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gino Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcio Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramirez comes to the cage accompanied by Go to sleep. Oliveira is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Fight till you die. Marcio Oliveira told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ramirez waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Oliveira. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Oliveira to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Oliveira is rocked!

It looks like Marcio Oliveira has been cut.
Ramirez is looking to stand up but Oliveira won't let him.
Oliveira is still in real trouble! Can Ramirez finish him?

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ramirez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Oliveira is looking to escape.

Oliveira has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Oliveira there as he acknowledges the shot.
Ramirez uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Ramirez bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Oliveira's head backwards.
Oliveira is trying desperately to land a takedown but Ramirez is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Oliveira.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Tommasson lands a nice hook to Daddy's body. Daddy takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Tommasson tries to bum rush Daddy with a series of wild strikes but Daddy uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Tommasson rushes Daddy with punches - Daddy moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Daddy goes down! Tommasson follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gonna Bust (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stewart's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Scotland the Brave. Bust comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Shook ones kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Gonna Bust was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Calypse gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Calypse is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Widaca is just riding it out for now. Calypse eventually gives up the hold.

Widaca holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Calypse tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Calypse throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Calypse jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Widaca is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Widaca and Calypse has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Calypse passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Widaca!

Calypse goes for an armbar but Widaca turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Widaca.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Calypse has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Widaca can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Calypse trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Calypse shoots for a double leg takedown but Widaca sprawls well. He's pushed Calypse's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Calypse tries to score a power double leg takedown but Widaca sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Calypse somewhat.

Calypse closes the distance and clinches up with Widaca, looking for a takedown. Calypse pushes Widaca against the cage but Widaca circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Widaca lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Calypse shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Widaca sprawls well. Widaca wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Calypse gets slowly back to his feet.
