Sanchez shoots for a takedown but CPW saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
CPW displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sanchez.
Sanchez throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
CPW moves out of range as Sanchez throws a body kick.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallhead staying out of range there.
Wallhead fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Wallhead fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stevenson avoids it really well and circles away.
No luck for Wallhead with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Wallhead. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wallhead has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Stevenson finds it's way round the side to connect with Wallhead's head.
Wallhead shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Stevenson defends it nicely.

Wallhead takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stevenson leaves Wallhead with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A punch lands to the side of Wallhead 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Are you kidding me?! Stevenson ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Wallhead clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
