No luck for Riscatelli with that takedown attempt.
Wade slaps away a takedown attempt from Riscatelli, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Riscatelli will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Silvio Riscatelli. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Riscatelli feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Riscatelli stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wade swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Riscatelli drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Wade dives on top into guard.

Wade is working Riscatelli over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wade is looking to stand up but Riscatelli won't let him.

Riscatelli's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Wade must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Riscatelli has his foot on Wade's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wade works his way back into a safe position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Riscatelli seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Riscatelli isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Wade stacks Riscatelli on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Wade!
Riscatelli tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Wade wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Silvio Riscatelli will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Wade stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wade wants it to stay on the feet.
Wade tries a head kick but it misses.
Riscatelli changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wade tries to avoid it but Riscatelli manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wade to the ground. Wade escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Wade throws a leg kick which misses Riscatelli's front leg but catches the back leg as Riscatelli tries to avoid it.
Wade fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Riscatelli.

Wade takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

It looks like Silvio Riscatelli has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Riscatelli throws a body punch but Wade moves out of range.
Wade turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Riscatelli takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Riscatelli drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

BOOM! Wade lands a beautiful left hook that drops Riscatelli. Riscatelli tries to recover but Wade is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Riscatelli lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
