The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kan gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Griffin wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Kan.
Griffin is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kan gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Griffin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kan tries to avoid it but Griffin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kan to the ground. Kan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kan is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Griffin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Griffin has his foot on Kan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kan works his way back into a safe position though.

Well Kan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ricky Steamboat.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Steamboat, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
