The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cooper lands in his opponent's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cooper got a little sloppy there for a moment and Li has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cooper has managed to get both his arms back between Li's legs - danger averted.

Li has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cooper can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cooper stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Li swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cooper had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Li defends it easily.
Cooper has his foot on Li's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Li works his way back into a safe position though.
Li tries to free his leg and advance position but Cooper is retaining full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Cooper manages to get to full guard.
Cooper is looking for a triangle but Li pushes his legs off easily.

Cooper escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Li gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sephiroth Cooper dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Li shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cooper napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Li is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Cooper is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Cooper is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Li off and has taken his back!
Cooper has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Li is in real trouble here. Cooper gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Li is tapping out! Cooper wins by rear naked choke!
